Making A Purchase Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

At present we can only accept orders for delivery within the United Kingdom.

We accept Mastercard, Visa, Visa Delta, JCB, Solo and Switch online or alternatively, you may send your credit card information via phone, fax or post. Select your payment preference during checkout.

When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we we ship your order and send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

Lessiter's Products may contain traces of nuts
Due to our manufacturing processes a number of our products may contain trace elements of either Nuts or Nut Oil. We are a mixed production factory and unfortunately cannot guarantee that any of our products are free from nuts. We always recommend that people with nut allergies check, and DO NOT consume products that have a nut warning or if otherwise in doubt.

Shipping And Handling Please note that orders guaranteed to arrive before Christmas must be received by December 17th 2008.

All orders are shipped using either Royal Mail First Class Post or Next Day delivery by courier.

Delivery by Royal Mail First Class Post is charged at £3.50 per order.

There is a surcharge of £1.50 per order if you specify Next Day delivery, but please note that this service is only available on orders placed Monday to Thursday before 1pm (so next day deliveries are received Tuesday to Friday).

Please note we are unable to make deliveries on a Saturday.

You may choose your prefered shipping option during checkout.

Delivery Schedule Unless you are using our next day service, please allow up to three working days for orders to be delivered. At peak delivery times such as Christmas normal deliveries may incur delays and we would advise that orders placed for special occasions are made in good time.

Deliveries are made normally Monday to Friday, excluding Bank Holidays and can be made to any UK postal address.

Back Orders If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

Tax Charges For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 17.5% VAT is added. All other orders are VAT free.

Credit Card Security Secure Credit Card transactions are handled by our secure payment handler - WorldPay. The credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach the WorldPay computers. They are not held in clear text on any web site.

If you lose the connection and your transaction is incomplete, we do not hold your card details, but your goods should still be in your shopping cart. Just go to the checkout and start the billing process again. You will not be charged twice for the same item and in the unlikely event that it appears that you have ordered the same item twice, we will contact you first to make sure.

We have an established procedure for monitoring and dealing with complaints to restore customer's confidence in Lessiters and to ensure that we respond positively to our customers needs. You will hear from us within 5 working days of your complaint with the steps we propose to resolve matters.

Returns Policy Your chocolates should reach you in top condition, but in the unlikely event that there is a problem, please contact us immediately to arrange for a replacement.

If you have ordered an item from us and you decide that this is the wrong item for you, you may cancel the order within 7 days of receiving the item and we will provide a full refund or a credit against another item of your choice within 30 days. Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive which can be found at http://www.hmso.gov.uk/si/si2000/20002334.htm

Please note that It is not possible to return unwanted chocolates after the seal on the packaging has been broken.

Cancelling an Order To cancel an order (subject to the conditions above), please either telephone us immediately on 01438 817 338 (09:00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday), or send an email to sales@lessiters.com as soon as possible. Please quote the order number listed on your on-line receipt or email receipt.

These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
